13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, dark painted lashes, widely arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with tentative smiling expression, accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid gusset-jointed body with square cut collarette, stitched and separated fingers, antique coral silk gown, undergarments, bonnet, boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: C (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, his deposed smiling faced model. Value Points: wonderful petite size of the desirable doll with lovely bisque and richly painted decoration around the eyes.
