13" (33 cm.) Porcelain swivel head in so-called "cup and saucer" system on matching porcelain shoulder plate, slightly pink tinted complexion, almond-shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate with original Rohmer stringing-pin in pate, softly-stuffed kid poupee body with grommet-edged holes in torso for sitting pull-strings, porcelain arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent, torso strings not original. Marks: (Rohmer stamp on torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer, the doll has three early deposed features of that firm: glass eyes, neck string attachment, and body sitting strings, circa 1860. Value Points: exquisite early doll whose rarity body features are rivaled by her beauty, lovely antique costume.
