Description
18" (46 cm.) x 12" box. A wooden box with lithographed floral paper cover is gilt lettered "La Layette de Ma Poupee", and hinges open to well-fitted contents including fifteen clothing and accessory items that are each stamped with patterns designed to be embroidered; along with two instruction manuals, needles, scissors, thimble, buttons and various threads. The box has some wear, the costumes are age spotted, but the presentation remains, unused, never removed from the box. French, circa 1890.
