31" (79 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with pear-shaped face, very full cheeks, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, mauve blushed eye shadow, shaded nostrils of pointy-tip nose, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded lips, impressed chin and philtrum, dimples, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-ball jointed body with flat-cut derriere, straight wrists, slightly-curled fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9 (large raised number).Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1884. Value Points: possibly largest size of the sought-after bebe has finest quality bisque and sculpting, original body and body finish, splendid presence in superb antique costume highlighted by mohair plush coat with matching leggings and cap, and curly mohair collar.
