Pressed bisque socket head, brown glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, delicately painted lashes and brows, mauve blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose- ball-jointed body with straight wrists, wearing early burgundy silk frock with lace trim (frail on sleeves),silk and lace bonnet, undergarments, knit stockings, leather shoes with rosettes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Jumeau, circa 1878. Value Points: very unusual long-faced modeling on the early model with charming expression enhanced by deeply impressed dimples at chin, lip corners, philtrum, with original body and body finish.
