7 1/2" x 5 1/2" (19 x 14 cm.) French child's book by J. Becour, published in Paris, undated, but end of 19th century, recounts the story of a spoiled little Parisian girl,Manon,who goes to spend the summer at the home of her grandmere where she learns to tend her own room, cook, clean and sewing costumes for her little doll. Instructions and illustrations for "le trousseau" are included throughout the book. Hardbound, gold embossed lettering on title, gold-leaf edging of pages. Excellent condition.
