Description
5" (13 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged elongated bisque torso, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, peg- jointed bisque arms and legs, ball-jointed elbows, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: BTE (back torso). Comments: attributed to Schmitt et Fils, circa 1880, from their deposed design. Value Points: beautiful mignonette with very delicate bisque, rare jointed elbows, original pin-striped silk costume.
