Description
11" (28 cm.) -19". Each has composition face with painted facial features, black mohair wig, muslin straw-filled body, wooden feet with painted shoes or real moccasins, and each is wearing original costume that en-wraps its body and appears as though hands are wrapped within the blankets, comprising flannel blankets, cottons trousers or dress. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: "Skookums Bully Good Indian, patented" (paper label on feet of two). Comments: Mary McAboy, who produced a series of dolls representing Native Americans, circa 1920. Value Points: well-preserved collection with well-rendered facial expressions, original costumes, included is one original box.
