20" (51 cm.) Pink-tinted poured wax shoulder head turned to the right, pale blue glass inset eyes, closed mouth in downcast pouty expression, blonde mohair tendrils of hair individually inserted, softly stuffed muslin body, wax arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, circa 1875,possibly Montanari. Value Points: delicate and compelling expression, the doll wears her original long baby gown with lace and embroidered panel inserts and multi-layered undergarments.
