17" (45 cm.) Pressed bisque swivel head with very
plump cheeks and throat,on kid-edged bisque
shoulder plate with distinctive V-shaped throat
opening,painted facial features,blue eyes in
sculpted sockets with heavy eyelids,black upper
eye liner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented
eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with accent
line between the lips,unpierced ears,blonde
mohair wig over cork pate,French wooden fully-
articulated body body,antique
undergarments,coiffe,original
gown,shoes,stockings. Condition: generally
excellent,body is Huret model albeit of later
era. Comments: Adelaide Calixte Huret,circa 1860.
Value Points: stunningly beautiful face with
characteristic glaze on lower eyes lending a
realistic impression,choice bisque,sculpting,and
painting.
