Description
5 1/2" (14 cm.) One piece bisque head and torso
portraying toddler with over-sized head
dome,bald pate,painted "O" shaped blue eyes
with white eye dots,button nose,downcast lips of
tiny mouth,modeled white chemise,jointed arms
with pointing index fingers,legs jointed to
inside of torso,modeled pink booties with silk
ribbons. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
Germany (underside of chemise). Comments: She-
bee,the little wide-eyed character designed by
American illustrator Charles Twelvetrees,circa
1920. Value Points: beautifully preserved example
with fine modeling details of costume,decorative
blushing on nose,knees and hands.
