9" (23 cm.) Standing all-bisque Kewpie with loop-
jointed arms has right-glancing eyes,modeled
topknot,side curls,and blue wings,and wears a
blue silk sash with large bow. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: O'Neill (feet) (and
two original paper labels). Comments:
Kewpie,designed by Rose O'Neill,Germany,circa
1915. Value Points: the large Kewpie with
original labels is enclosed in his original
Kewpie box with illustrations and poem on the lid.
