13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head, sculpted white baby bonnet decorated with tiny roses and vines, with drilled holes at bonnet tips for ribbon insertion, intaglio blue eyes, white eye dots, incised eyeliner, short feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, composition bent limb baby body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8 Germany 7977 Heubach (sunburst mark). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915, their model known as Baby Stuart. Value Points: most endearing shy expression, choice bisque, original body and body finish, modeled bonnet.
