Description
9"l. (23 cm.) A bisque poupee head with blue
glass enamel inset eyes,painted lashes and
brows,closed mouth with accented lips,pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig,carton torso,wire upper
arms,bisque forearms,is posed atop a grand-sized
paper mache candy box egg. The doll is costumed
in original aqua silk and lace gown with fancy
straw bonnet,and the candy egg is covered with
brushed velvet in matching color with pleated
silk interior. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: made exclusively for luxury Parisian
chocolatier such as Marquise de Sevigne,circa
1880. Value Points: rare luxury presentation box
in all-original costume and accessories.
