15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, small blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2. Comments: Jumeau, circa 1870. Value Points: beautiful early poupee with choice bisque, sturdy original body, superb antique three-piece blue woolen gown with black cord trim, undergarments, leather boots, and black straw bonnet with feathered trim having original label of the Paris doll shop "Au Calife du Bagdad" owned by Herbillon.
