17" (45 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with plump facial modeling,cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes,delicately painted lashes and brows,accented eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,blonde human hair over cork pate,French kid gusset-jointed body with muslin upper arms and porcelain arms to above the elbows,antique pale yellow satin gown,undergarments,straw bonnet,leather boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Claude Blampoix,circa 1855,who deposed a patent for glass eyes in that year. Value Points: regal lady with great presence,fine luminous quality of porcelain with delicately blushed cheeks,piquant smile,porcelain arms.
