facial modeling,cobalt blue glass enamel inset
eyes,delicately painted lashes and brows,accented
eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with center
accent line,blonde human hair over cork
pate,French kid gusset-jointed body with muslin
upper arms and porcelain arms to above the
elbows,antique pale yellow satin
gown,undergarments,straw bonnet,leather boots.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
attributed to Claude Blampoix,circa 1855,who
deposed a patent for glass eyes in that year.
Value Points: regal lady with great presence,fine
luminous quality of porcelain with delicately
blushed cheeks,piquant smile,porcelain arms.
