20" (51 cm.) Pale bisque shoulder head with rounded facial modeling, black sculpted hair in neatly arranged short curls, blue glass inset eyes in half-moon shape with heavily modeled upper eyelids, dark eyeliner encircles the eye cuts, red upper eye liner, single stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, modeled teeth, old muslin body, early bisque limbs with very plump modeling, painted stockings with pink tassel trim, gold shoes, antique dress. Condition: hairline back of head, one finger broken, left leg reglued. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: rarity factors of the early doll include glazed highlights of hair, glass eyes, original bisque limbs, and modeled teeth.
