Description
27" (69 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, brown sculpted boyish hair waved casually across his forehead with modeling details, brown glass sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted long curly lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K&H 166-14 Germany. Comments: Kley and Hahn, circa 1912, the model is referred to as Tommy Tucker. Value Points: rare large example of the classic schoolboy model, with well-sculpted details of boyish hair, fine quality of bisque.
