19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head,small blue glass
sleep eyes in half-moon shape,dark
eyeliner,painted curly lashes,incised
eyeliner,short feathered brows,accented nostrils
of rounded nose,open mouth,outlined lips with
dimple accent dot in bottom lip,tongue,two
porcelain upper teeth,impressed cheek
dimples,double chin,blonde mohair wig over
plaster pate,German composition and wooden ball-
jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing.
Condition: generally excellent,one finger
repaired. Marks: K made in Germany 14 JDK 220.
Comments: Kestner,circa 1915. Value Points:
outstanding detail of sculpting emphasizing the
laughter crinkles around the eyes and mouth
enhanced by finest matte bisque and
painting,original toddler body with original
