10" (25 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta head with darkened complexion, bald pate except tuft of hair at crown, sculpted curly beard and moustache, furrowed brows, curved brows, smiling expression, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted brown boots with gold edging, wearing original silk costume with lined embroidered jacket, harem pants, padded turban, and carrying silver-tipped wooden spear. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s.
