8" (20 cm.) Bisque socket head,blue glass inset eyes,painted lashes and brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with center accent line,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,French composition body jointed at shoulders and hips,painted shoes and socks,antique cotton pinafore dress,undergarments,bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: H.A. (and symbol of paper bird,on head) H.A. (impressed on torso). Comments: Henri Alexandre,the firm made dolls for three years only,from 1888 to 1891. Value Points: rare and charming petite bebe with original signed body based upon the 1888 Alexandre body patent.
