16" (41 cm.) Wax-over-paper mache shoulder head,blue glass eyes which "blink" open and close when bellows in torso in squeezed. Painted lashes and brows,closed mouth with upturned lip corners,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,muslin torso and upper limbs,waxed paper mache lower limbs,painted grey boots with fancy black tips and heels,gold buttons. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1875. Value Points: rare doll is perfectly preserved,has enchanting bellows mechanism that causes the doll to simultaneously blink her eyes and lift right arm toward her face as though sniffing the flowers she holds,wearing original gown,undergarments,earrings,original body with fancy boots.
