Description
17" overall (45 cm.) A gilded metal cruxifix is mounted upon a wooden base and lavishly surrounded with classic wedding dome accessories in plated gold including dove with coronet in beak, sunflowers, leaves, and two diamond-shaped mirrors; the entire arrangement is preserved under a blown glass dome. It is likely the globe de mariage was prepared for the ceremony of a nun when taking her vows. French, circa 1885. Excellent condition of the rare and original commemorative arrangement.
