Description
4 1/2" (12 cm.) One-piece all-bisque head impish figure modeled to appear as popping from an egg shell that serves as its costume, with round face, over-sized ears, top knot, side-glancing painted googly eyes, impish smile, painted white egg-shell dress with blue trim, modeled indentation for waist with original red ribbon sash, arms outstretched. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Germany Elfie Reg. No 630902 33795. Comments: possibly Seyfarth & Reinhardt who registered trademarks for Our Fairy and Elfe (sic) in 1922. Value Points: very rare Kewpish type figure with wonderful detail, original "Elfie" label.
