Description
24" overall, 10" shoulders, 9" canteen. The uniform comprises red wool pleated skirt with navy blue banding, blue woolen double-breasted jacket with white wool front, red piping,20 brass buttons with embossed emblems signed "Perfectionne Paris" on reverse, white wool vest with brass buttons, elaborate black flaps with 8 buttons, red, white and blue banner with metallic tassels, barrel-shaped tin canteen with leather strap, brass emblems, brass banding and red, white and blue paint with stenciled floral design. French, circa 1875. Excellent condition of the rare and detailed uniform.
