Description
12 books, each 3" x 2 1/2". One with carved bone book cover and gilt leaf edging, one a double leather bound set with traveling handle; the remaining nine with celluloid covers (some with colorful illustrations),gilt-edging, and ormolu gilt closures. Three are a form of jewelry presentation box, having a niche inside the front cover that holds a mother of pearl and gilded cross. Included are The Marriage Sacrament, Devotions, books of prayers, lessons in the Mass, and others. Early 20th century, several are dated. Excellent condition, bone-covered book has loose covers. The books are presented in an antique doll's wooden cupboard. A rare group of books, each different.
