Description

10" (26 cm.) Bisque swivel head with very high domed forehead on bisque kid-edged shoulder plate, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, four tiny teeth, blonde mohair wig, original commercial muslin body with bisque arms from above the elbows, and bisque lower legs with painted white stockings and brown heeled slippers with bow trim, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 886 S 3 H (head) S H (shoulder plate). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: unusual early Simon and Halbig with original body, most appealing petite size.
