A wooden stage like setting displays a French grocery store, with porcelain label "Epicerie" above,8 drawers with porcelain labels such as haricots (green beans), pois (peas) and other more predictable staples, four wooden bins, front counter with brass-tray scale, iron cooking pan with lid, and other utensils; tin pail, dust shover, wooden sieve hanging on wall, two gas lanterns, side table containing a number of boxed and tin foods; along with numerous toy foods, e.g. 6 six canister set, 20 other food tins, many paper boxes for biscuits, chocolates, lentils, and such, 6 wine bottles, along with a German black haired china lady as Proprietress with original store-keeper's costume, apron. Excellent condition. French, circa 1890, the grocery is extensively fitted, and enhanced by original porcelain labels for unusual foods.
