Description
20" (51 cm.) Solid domed paper mache shoulder head with black painted pate, black glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, two square cut upper and lower teeth, slightly elongated throat, brunette human hair, pink kid body with gusset-jointing, separated fingers and toes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dufourc (and other partial markings, bottom of right foot). Comments: French, circa 1850. Value Points: fine original complexion and blush is well-peserved on the early enamel eyed doll, original signed body, antique calico gown with fancy buttons, undergarments, stockings, leather shoes.
