11" (28 cm.) All wooden doll with one piece head and torso, elongated throat, egg-shaped head with painted black hair, spit curls around the face, sculpted yellow decorative "tuck comb" at crown, petite painted facial features, pierced ears, dowel jointed wooden arms and legs, painted flat orange shoes. Condition: very good, original finish with typical wear patina, repair at left ear. Comments: Grodnertal, circa 1850. Value Points: original finish with pretty facial features, wonderful original costume of polished chintz with floral design.
