Description
21" (53 cm.) Maplewood-framed box hinges open to reveal a fitted interior of dolls at play on park swings; at one end is a covered bench for resting; and suspended from the roof are four double-seated swings, with seven bisque dolls in antique costume. When wound, music plays. French, circa 1890, the popular toy was featured in Paris Etrennes catalogs of the period, and is preserved here in fine original finish, nice musical tune.
