Seated upon a red wooden three-wheeled scooter with steering bar is a bisque-headed doll with dark brown inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, open mouth, row of teeth, brunette human hair, block torso, wire upper arms and legs, paper mache lower arms and legs. When wound the scooter propels forward and in circles and the doll bounces up and down as though steering. Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well. Marks: Mon Cheri Paris L.P. (doll) Au Nain Bleu (paper label on base of scooter. Comments: probably Roullet et Decamps, circa 1920, the deluxe mechanical toy was sold by the prestige Paris toy shop Au Nain Bleu.
