Paper mache shoulder head with rounded facial shape, elongated throat with defined throat hollow, rounded shoulders, sculpted shaded brown hair with double row of curls around the crown, hair waved behind the sculpted detailed ears and held by modeled red snood with gold band in short pageboy curls at back of head, painted facial features, turquoise upper glancing eyes, black and red upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, muslin stitch-jointed body, red leather arms, antique costume including garments and gown, red leather slippers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Patent CE (other illegible markings, seal inside of shoulder plate, see photo detail). Comments: circa 1875.
