18" (46 cm.) Paper mache bull dog with flocked finish has loosely nodding head with painted black eye rings and ears, freckles, brown glass eyes, hinged jaws with pink painted mouth interior and ferocious teeth, well defined torso muscles and paws, original red collar and ruff, silver pull chain, hidden wheels in feet. When pulled along by silver chain, the bulldog opens his mouth and "growls". French, circa 1890.
