21" (53 cm.) Burgundy-brown hair waved away from her face, rolled tightly at the sides and captured in a rhinestone-accented black snood at her nape, distinctively-hand-painted facial features. Wearing white Alencon embroidered lace and satin dart-shaped tutu, tulle neckline and shoulder guards, multi-layered tulle skirt overlaid with beautiful Alencon lace and trimmed with embedded rhinestones and clusters of dainty silk flowers that are repeated as a throat band, satin panties, blush net stockings, pink ballet slippers, crown of starched lace trimmed with rhinestones and seed pearls. Near mint condition. Alexander, 1951, from the extremely rare group known as "The Mystery Series" which definitively established the dolls of Madame Alexander as mid-century fashion icons. This extremely rare model from that series is in wonderfully-preserved condition.
