Pale bisque shoulderhead with plump facial modeling, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, unique body with very firmly stuffed torso and upper thighs, wooden upper arms with dowel jointing at shoulders, bisque arms from above the elbows; wooden ball-sockets at knees, kid- over-wooden lower legs. Condition: generally excellent, restoration to right hand. Marks: (illegible green stamp on front torso). Comments: attributed to Blampoix ,circa 1860. Value Points: the early model poupee has fabulous pale bisque enhanced by cobalt eyes, rare body with maker's stamp, wears superb antique costume.
