Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled throat hollow and modeled generous bosom, large blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid torso from below the modeled bosom to mid-thigh, very shapely bisque legs and feet to mid-thigh with sculpted heeled shoes, bisque arms to above the elbow, modeled bent left arms, wearing antique lingerie. Condition: generally excellent, restoration to left arm. Comments: 3. Condition: Radiquet and Cordonnier, the doll, named "poupee-statuette" in their 1880 deposed patent was designed to wear theatrical and historic costumes; the young couple had been inspired by his theatrical costume background. The doll was made in very limited numbers for 5 years only, and few are known to exist. Value Points: the rare doll has exquisite sculpted of body, lovely bisque and presence.
