25" (64 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with strong elongated throat, round facial shape, very elaborately sculpted hair with double row of coiled braids at crow and extravagant curls at each side, painted facial features with unusual sculpting detail of turquoise eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils of aquiline nose, closed mouth with center accent line, slender kid body with tiny waist, wooden lower limbs, painted green shoes, antique cotton dress, patterned petticoat. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: exceptional coiffure with very elaborate detail that extends around the back of head, beautifully painted facial features with original finish, original body on the large model.
