Description

35" (89 cm.) Bisque socket head with long-faced modeling, large brown glass eyes, dark eyeliner, dark lushly painted lashes, thick brush stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, four porcelain teeth, brunette human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SH 18 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: superb large size enhances the fine modeling of the early doll, choice bisque, wonderful costume with extravagant bonnet.
