16" (42 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French kid fashion body with gusset- jointing, porcelain arms from above elbows, antique green taffeta gown, undergarments, leather ankle boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Brevete SGDG (green stamp on torso). Comments: Claude Joseph Blampoix, circa 1860, the brevete referred to his 1855 patent concerning enamel eyes in porcelain dolls. Value Points: fine lustrous porcelain on the early fashion poupee with brevete mark, cobalt enamel eyes, stamped body.
