13" (33 cm.) Pressed pale bisque socket head with so-called "light-bulb" neck socket, round facial modeling, painted facial features, deeply set eye sockets with painted eyes that are shaded and glazed to appear as though glass, dark painted upper eyeliner, painted lashes encircle the eyes, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde lambswool wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed bebe body, antique dress, undergarments, bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, body is appropriately sized and of the period, albeit not original. Comments: Huret, circa 1875. Value Points: classically beautiful very rare bebe with exquisite painting and modeling of eyes, gentle expression, appealing size.
