Description
13" (33 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head, large brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted short lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, widely arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over cork pate, Jumeau composition and wooden eight-loose-ball jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, bisque flake at bottom of neck socket. Marks: 6 (and backward 6). Comments: very early bebe by Jumeau, circa 1877, with captivating expression, lovely bisque, original early body with original finish, pretty antique costume. From the Seeley Family Doll Collection.
