18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with darker blue outer rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth, accent line between the rosebud-shaped lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, bisque forearms and hands. Condition: bisque head, shoulderplate and hands excellent, body original albeit worn. Marks: F. 6 G. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1880. Value Points: rare early model with entrancing gentle expression, very beautiful eyes, fine sculpting of bisque hands.
