23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted facial features, blue eyes with shaded details, black upper eyeliner, white eyedots, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth appearing as though open with painted row of teeth, smiling expression with shaded and accented lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, wig pulls at back of head. Marks: 151 S&H 3. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910, from their very rare art character series. Value Points: especially fine quality of modeling on the very expressive doll, finest bisque and painting, original wig, original body and body finish, rare large size.
