A heavy card box with gilt and lace edging is lettered "Etrennes 1891" on the lid, and contains a small bisque bebe with blue glass enamel eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition body jointed at shoulders and hips, wearing original chemise, shoes and socks, and owning a fine trousseau including lace and ribbon edged undergarments, rose silk frock and matching bonnet, and accessories including fingerless gloves, comb, puff, jump rope, purse, opera glass, perfume bottle.
