Pressed bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brush stroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and accented lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E 8 J (and artist's check marks on head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1885,the deposed model EJ was made for one or two years only. Value Points: especially beautiful example of the beloved Jumeau with lustrous complexion dramatized by richly painted eye decoration, original wig, pate, body, body finish, antique costume including signed Jumeau shoes.
