15" (39 cm.) Standing upon a velvet covered wooden base is a bisque-headed clown with untinted white complexion and painted clown decorations, brown glass inset eyes, curvy brows, open mouth, four teeth, carton moule torso, wire upper arms, metal hands, red silk costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. 3 D. Depose.(head) (original paper label with musical tune on base). Comments: Rambour, circa 1895. Value Points: the clown holds a wooden mandolin in his hands, and when wound, he turns his head side to side, strums the mandolin, and music plays.
