18" (45 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, neck articulation allowing the head to tilt side to side and forward as well as swivel, almond-shaped dark blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden body with shapely torso, dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish with light scuffing. Comments: circa 1867,the doll has the patented neck articulation system of Dehors. Value Points: beautiful early poupee with wooden articulated body and rare neck articulation.
