19" (49 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head, pale blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body, straight wrists,(frail) ivory silk dress, undergarments, shoes, apron, straw bonnet. Condition: hairlines at back of head and chin, body not original, body repainted. Comments: Jumeau head, circa 1870. Value Points: very beautiful expression and lovely bisque. From the Seeley Family Doll Collection, the doll was a particular favorite of Mildred Seeley, whom she named Stobe and featured in many of her books.
