30" (76 cm.) Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder-plate, very full modeling of cheeks and chin, brown glass enamel inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye-shadow, brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with well-defined painted teeth between the shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, Bru gusset-jointed kid body with bisque arms from elbow, individually sculpted bisque hands, knuckles and nails, beautifully costumed in brocade silk dress with lace collar and cuffs, undergarments, leather shoes signed "B", fine antique bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bte SGDG (forehead) (circle/dot symbol at back of head). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, the model known as Circle/dot, this being the earliest brevete version of that model, circa 1880. Value Points: exceptional size of the superbly sculpted bebe, this may be the largest size known to exist, allowing outstanding definition of facial features, enhanced by choicest bisque, perfect bisque hands, rare painted teeth.
